Mr. Linder hails from Chicagoland, kick-starting his dynamic career in 1997. He is a serial founder, MIT-trained innovator, social entrepreneur, and educator.

Mr. Linder is an expert at developing and implementing scalable solutions using complexity science to drive immediate and long-term results. Professional Experience:
With over 25 years of domestic and international experience, Mr. Linder is an interdisciplinary professional who has continually developed his leadership portfolio through research, entrepreneurship, teaching, service, and innovation. He began his real estate development career in 1997 and established an award-winning territory for a global advisory firm. His leadership is marked by collaborative relationships with global senior leaders and expertise in private equity, money center banking, public investment, and social impact investing.
Throughout his career, Mr. Linder has managed and grown a $100 million corporate balance sheet, led $275 million in merchant real estate development, and supported $1.2 billion in corporate growth via community investment and development skills. His efforts have generated $6 million in new revenue over six years and involved $5 billion in cross-sector and university-affiliated investments. He has also de-risked innovative solutions for the built environment and competed in a U.S. Department of Energy innovation award competition.
Since 2016, Mr. Linder has provided specialized research and advisory services to private family enterprises, focusing on enhancing communities, the built environment, and landscapes for the 21st century. His experience spans startups, family enterprises, middle-market companies, large corporations, and institutional clients across various sectors. Mr. Linder has worked with a range of high-profile clients, including Fortune 100 companies and ultra-high-net-worth family offices, providing tailored advisory services that address complex challenges and drive significant outcomes.
Teaching Philosophy & Academic Involvement:
Mr. Linder’s teaching philosophy centers on student success and promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in real estate and innovation-driven entrepreneurship. He lectures on real estate and community development at the University of Arizona and the Universities of Wisconsin, emphasizing practical, real-world applications of theoretical concepts. His approach fosters critical thinking and interdisciplinary approaches, integrating current industry trends with innovative educational methods to prepare students for future challenges.
Specializing in EdTech, Mr. Linder developed a real estate primer course and collaborates with full-time faculty to update the curriculum and teach online courses in land planning, real estate development, and construction management. Inspired by John Dewey, his leadership style encourages inquiry, debate, and resource sharing to achieve common goals, creating open, trust-based learning environments using various tools and systems.
Dedicated to mentoring students, Mr. Linder has been a guest speaker for the Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 2007, he arranged the SIOR scholarship for real estate students at his undergraduate alma mater, which remains active today. Additionally, he has facilitated workshops on urban planning and community development for the Urban Land Institute’s UrbanPlan program. As an advocate for good governance, he serves as a committee member and university liaison for the Private Directors Association.
Mr. Linder holds a master’s degree in global real estate from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has completed additional training in various fields at institutions such as the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
